THE ASHDOWN FOREST The Ashdown Forest lies in East Sussex, about an hour's drive from South and East of London. This is the place where you will find all the enchanted places you've heard about and read in A. A Milne's "Winnie-The-Pooh" stories and Christopher Robin's "The Enchanted Places". It was at the Ashdown Forest that Christopher Robin spent his childhood days playing with his stuffed animals who became the famous Winnie the Pooh and friends. The Ashdown Forest is just the same as Earnest Shepard sketched it. You will see places such as "CotchFord Farm", "Galleons Lap (Gills Lap)", Roo's Sandy Pit, North Pole and shop where Chris and his Nanny went to buy candy" (Now Pooh Corner). Click here to visit the Pooh Corner Shop's web-site. |

CREDITS:
Me and Uma have always longed to visit the Ashdown Forest and we are sure we will some day. But, we have already seen some of the places, through the wonderful pictures of the 'Enchanted Places' that have been sent to us by my dear friend living near the Ashdown Forest.
